Job summary

Kingston University in Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, seeks a Senior HR Advisor for the HR Advice & Reward team. You will provide expert employment law guidance, manage complex employee relations, and drive HR policy development and strategic projects.

You will influence senior stakeholders, analyze HR data, and support organisational change. A CIPD or equivalent qualification is required, with office-based work at Kingston campuses and some travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent employment law and HR knowledge supported by CIPD or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to translate legislation into practical HR solutions.
• Strong communication, analytical and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic, solutions-focused HR advice to managers and senior leaders.
• Lead and contribute to strategic HR projects and organisational change initiatives.
• Develop and review HR policies to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
• Lead complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and capability cases.
• Support ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal processes; advise on risks and solutions.
