Job summary

Queensland Government seeks a health information access specialist to act as the Delegated RTI decision maker for the Health Information Management and Clinical Coding Support Service in Brisbane. You will interpret RTI, IP and other statutory access requests and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

A Graduate Degree in Health Information Management is required. You will develop information access procedures, manage subpoenas and coronial requests, deliver staff

Responsibilities

• Act as the Delegated Right to Information Act decision maker for RTI, IP and related requests.
• Interpret and process access requests in accordance with legislation and Queensland Health policies.
• Provide expert advice on information access to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain information access procedures and resources.
• Manage court-ordered and statutory requests (subpoenas, summons).
• Provide education to staff on management of information requests and access to health data.
• Support KPI reporting and drive service improvements.
