Job summary

NSW Trustee and Guardian is seeking a Principal Guardian to lead complex guardianship matters. You will make high-stakes health and lifestyle decisions, advocate for represented people, and work with families, services, and agencies across NSW.

The role includes supervising staff and contributing high-quality reports and recommendations. You will travel across NSW, engage with diverse stakeholders, and participate in after-hours work on a rotational basis, ensuring ethical, person-centred

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in social work, health, behavioural sciences or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel across NSW and work after hours on a rotational basis.
• Experience with guardianship, health and lifestyle decisions is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Make complex health and lifestyle decisions and advocate for positive outcomes for represented people.
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to Senior Guardians, Guardians and support staff; prepare reports and recommendations.
• Provide advice on complex cases and collaborate with families, service providers and government agencies.
