Job summary

NSW Trustee and Guardian is seeking a Senior Guardian to manage complex guardianship matters, make health and lifestyle decisions, and advocate for clients within delegated authority.

You will collaborate with families, carers, health professionals, disability and aged care providers, and government agencies to achieve outcomes that respect rights and welfare. This role offers flexible, hybrid arrangements and statewide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in social, health, or behavioural sciences or equivalent experience.
• Experience in guardianship or welfare settings is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse complex information and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex guardianship matters and develop decision plans.
• Advocate for customers and work with families, carers, health professionals and agencies.
• Make well‑reasoned decisions in line with legislation and guardianship standards.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for NCAT proceedings.
• Provide guidance to Guardians handling difficult situations.
• Visit customers and map local services to achieve positive outcomes.
