Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Principal Guardian to make complex health and lifestyle decisions and advocate for positive outcomes for represented people.

You will manage sensitive guardianship matters, lead and mentor Senior Guardians and support staff, and draft high-quality reports and recommendations, with responsibilities across NSW and flexibility for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or equivalent experience in social work, health, behavioural sciences or related discipline.
• Available to travel throughout NSW and undertake after-hours work on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

• Make complex health and lifestyle decisions and advocate for positive outcomes for represented people.
• Manage sensitive and complex guardianship matters.
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to Senior Guardians, Guardians and support staff.
• Prepare high-quality reports, submissions and recommendations.
