Job summary

Wilsons Fruit & Vegetables in Ballarat is seeking a hands-on Grocery Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with the Operations manager and management team to plan, direct and support the grocery department, while keeping customer focus and high presentation standards.

You will guide and train team members, manage tasks and workflow, monitor stock, ensure product availability and maintain safety, OH&S compliance and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in a supermarket or grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role in the day-to-day operation of the Grocery Department.
• Help coordinate daily tasks, priorities and workflow to ensure the department operates efficiently.

• Assist with training and supporting new and existing team members.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment and ensure products are rotated and presented appropriately.

• Ensure the high quality and appropriate display of all products.
• Assist with food safety, quality, cleaning and OH&S checks as required, maintaining accurate records to meet compliance requirements.

Job description

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes initiative and is confident helping guide a team. Working closely with the Operations manager and management team, you will help the grocery team with day-to-day planning and direction, maintain high presentation standards, support staff and ensure the department is running efficiently, safely and with the customer at the forefront.
