Job summary

Harris Farm Markets is seeking a Grocery Section Lead to support the Store Manager, coach a high-performing team and deliver outstanding customer service every day.

In this hands-on role you will ensure shelves are stocked, displays are attractive, assist with ordering and stock control, drive sales, and collaborate with other departments to create memorable shopping experiences.

You’ll lead by example, mentor colleagues, and help shape a welcoming, fresh-food focused store culture.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Grocery team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Ensure shelves are stocked, faced up and ready for trade.
• Assist with ordering, stock replenishment and inventory levels.
• Drive sales, control stock loss and reduce waste.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Deliver promotional and seasonal displays to a high standard.
• Monitor product quality, stock rotation and date checking.
• Assist with deliveries and back-of-house organisation.
• Maintain food safety, WHS and company standards.
• Work collaboratively with other departments across the store.
• Support the Store Manager and help lead the store when required.

We are looking for someone who loves food, with previous experience working in a fresh food retail business (highly regarded) and a real people person.
