Job summary

ACCC is seeking a Senior Governance Officer (APS6) to join the CFT Governance and Coordination unit in support of divisional leadership. The role ensures compliance with public service, policy and guidance, working across recruitment, finance, records management and travel services.

The Senior Governance Officer will assist senior leaders, manage divisional reporting (including annual reports) and coordinate responses to corporate requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high level executive support, governance, business or project support services.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and confidential information appropriately.
• Strong communication within teams and with senior leaders; interpretation of legal/technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate functions with recruitment, finance, procurement, records management and travel services.
• Translate divisional priorities into practical work plans and outcomes.
• Maintain records, improve data quality and reporting for evidence-based decisions.
• Plan and coordinate change initiatives, stakeholder engagement and risk management.
• Collaborate within a dispersed team to track progress, milestones and deadlines.
• Manage team support to senior leaders, coordinating briefings and actions.
• Contribute to reporting, including annual reports and divisional performance publications.
• Coordinate divisional responses to corporate requests and inform leaders of policy changes.
• Support senior leaders, draft communications and manage information flow within the leadership team.
• Supervise staff, set expectations and support performance and wellbeing.
