Job summary

ACCC is seeking a Senior Governance Officer (APS6) to join the Governance and Coordination unit. You will support leadership, manage compliance with public service requirements, and lead strategic planning and reporting activities.

The role offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities across Australia. You will supervise staff, coordinate briefs and publications, and help deliver divisional goals while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high level executive support and governance services.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and confidential information.
• Proven ability to interpret legal or technical information, including policy guidance and employment conditions.
• Strong communication within teams and with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate functions including recruitment, finance and procurement, and records management.
• Translate divisional priorities into practical work plans and outcomes.
• Maintain data quality and produce reporting to inform decision making.
• Coordinate change initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
• Work with a geographically dispersed team to track progress and deadlines.
• Supervise staff and develop performance, capability and wellbeing.
