Job summary

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in Adelaide is seeking a Governance Officer/Senior Governance Officer (APS5/APS6) to support decision making, leadership structures and reporting within the Consumer and Fair Trading area.

You will work with the CFT Governance and Coordination unit to manage public service compliance, policy guidance and change initiatives, while supervising and mentoring staff as needed and coordinating briefs and actions with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high level executive support, governance, business support, or project support services.
• Ability to facilitate effective communication within teams and with senior leaders.
• Proven ability to handle confidential/sensitive information appropriately.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply legal/technical information including policy and guidelines.
• Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate functions (recruitment, finance, procurement, records management, travel) and prepare briefings and reports.
• Contribute to strategic planning by translating divisional priorities into work plans.
• Maintain accurate records and strengthen data quality for reporting and decision making.
• Plan and coordinate change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and risk management.
• Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team to manage joint projects and milestones.
