Job summary

ACCC is seeking a Governance Officer to support executive functions, governance activities and policy compliance across the organisation. Your role will involve coordinating with divisional leadership, maintaining records, and driving improvement in reporting and processes.

You will work with a distributed team, contribute to strategic planning, and play a key role in ensuring effective governance and change management in a dynamic public service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing high-level executive support, governance, business support, or project support services.
• Ability to facilitate effective team communication across work areas and with senior leaders.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Ability to interpret, apply legal or technical information and guidelines.
• Proven capability to manage change and use creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate functions (recruitment, finance, procurement, records management).
• Translate divisional priorities into practical work plans and outcomes.
• Maintain records, improve data quality, and support reporting.
• Plan and coordinate change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team on projects and milestones.
• Manage team support to senior leaders, improving meetings and briefings.
• Contribute to divisional reporting and annual publications.
• Coordinate responses to corporate requests and policy changes.
• Support senior leaders in delivering priorities and managing information flow.
• Supervise and develop staff with clear expectations and feedback.
