Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas such as mining, economics, finance or mathematics.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional equity research experience.
• Prior experience in sell-side or buy-side equity research preferred; mining/resources background acceptable for transition.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies (DCF, NAV, peer comparables).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for sophisticated institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and publish independent investment research on Australian listed gold companies and thematic notes.
• Build and maintain asset-by-asset financial models for the mining sector.
• Manage relationships with global buy-side clients and deliver investment recommendations.
• Coordinate access to corporate management, site visits, and sector conferences for institutional investors.
• Ensure all research products and client interactions adhere to RBC’s policies and local regulatory frameworks.
