Job summary

RBC is expanding its Australian Equity Research team and seeks a candidate based in Sydney or Melbourne with 2–3 years’ experience in equity research or related roles. You will build financial models, forecast earnings, and value companies using DCF and comps while delivering high-quality research reports and presentations to clients.

The role requires a strong interest in equity markets, excellent writing and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in equity markets and finance.
• Undergraduate degree in relevant field required.
• 2–3 years’ full-time work experience in equity research, corporate finance or related role preferred.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with exposure to CEOs/IR personnel.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; ability to source data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental analysis of Australian companies across Global Industrials sectors.
• Build and update company financial models in Excel.
• Analyze P&L, balance sheet and cash flow interdependencies.
• Forecast earnings and develop valuation analyses (DCF, comps).
• Prepare high-quality research reports and client-ready presentations.
• Maintain industry databases and respond to client inquiries.
