Job summary

The BUSY Group is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team and deliver accurate, compliant payroll services across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll support audits, legislative changes and stakeholder advisory with a focus on service excellence.

You will handle end-to-end payroll, reconcile reports, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining confidentiality and high data integrity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of payroll experience in high-volume, multi-entity environments.
• Experience processing end-to-end payroll for large workforces.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and leave entitlements.
• Experience interpreting Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for Australian and New Zealand employees in accordance with legislation, awards, policies and procedures.
• Ensure payrolls are completed accurately within required timeframes.
• Process payroll changes including timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, overtime and terminations.
• Manage employee leave entitlements and associated payments.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and documentation.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports, prepare month-end/year-end and audit reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide professional, responsive support to employees and stakeholders.
