Job summary

Navan in Sydney, Australia is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead end-to-end event delivery across Australia and beyond, developing client relationships and maximizing ROI.

You will manage venues, travel, accommodation, budgets, and post-event reporting, while mentoring the Events Team and supporting the Operations Manager. The role requires five+ years in event planning, strong supplier management, and proficiency in Cvent and GDS systems.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of event planning experience.
• Excellent fare and ticketing knowledge including Published, Net, Group, and NDC fares.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint with ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to multitask and resolve urgent matters quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end event delivery from brief to on-site execution and post-event reconciliation.
• Effective supplier & contract management, negotiating rates and concessions.
• Execute delegate registration management and travel coordination for a seamless participant experience.
• Create group and individual reservations and input data into internal systems accurately.
• Negotiate best fares with suppliers and flexible terms.
• Assist travellers with travel support and changes to bookings when needed.
• Collaborate with client contacts to meet program objectives and success factors.
• Maintain project documentation for contract and policy compliance.
• Oversee event budgets, profitability, invoicing and reporting.
