Job summary

Navan in Sydney seeks an experienced Event Manager to deliver top-tier events for key clients. You will manage end-to-end delivery from brief to on-site execution, including venue, travel, and delegate coordination, ensuring ROI and client objectives are met.

The role requires 5+ years in event planning, strong fare/ticketing knowledge, and proficiency in Cvent and GDS systems. You will collaborate with teams to maintain budgets, report on outcomes, and support global travel programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of event planning experience.
• Fare and ticketing knowledge including various fare types.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tech aptitude.
• Ability to multitask and resolve urgent matters quickly.
• Empathetic with professional attitude.
• Experience in hyper-growth environments.
• Strong understanding of event/delegate management software (Cvent).
• 5+ years of GDS experience preferred.
• Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver.
• Proven track record in client/account relationships.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Reliable and flexible with non-traditional shifts.
• Interest in travel and knowledge of world geography.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end event delivery from brief to on-site execution and post-event reconciliation.
• Manage supplier contracts, RFPs, and preferred partner programs to maximise value.
• Handle delegate registration, communications, rooming lists, and travel coordination.
• Input data into internal software systems and maintain accurate records.
• Negotiate fares with suppliers and terms.
• Assist travellers with travel support before, during, and after travel.
• Work with clients to meet program objectives and outcomes.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and compliance.
• Oversee budgets, profitability, invoicing, and reporting.
• Support Team Lead and Managers.
