Rio Tinto is seeking a Senior Advisor GIS Data & Development – Data Management Lead to provide technical leadership for authoritative enterprise spatial data. You will oversee end-to-end GIS data maintenance, including Pilbara Disturbance Footprint stewardship, ensuring data is current, traceable and fit for operational use.

• Experience managing authoritative enterprise spatial datasets within complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across end-to-end GIS data lifecycle.
• Oversee Pilbara Disturbance Footprint stewardship and data quality controls.
• Set priorities and guide specialists and advisors in data maintenance.
• Develop and maintain GIS data governance procedures and metadata standards.
• Oversee data quality validation activities and implement sustainable improvements.
• Deliver data improvement initiatives including automated workflows.
• Provide technical oversight for data supporting regulatory disclosures.
• Resolve complex spatial data issues and ensure data remains fit for purpose.
• Collaborate with environmental, operational and technical stakeholders to meet data needs.
