Rio Tinto is seeking a Senior Advisor GIS Data & Development – Enterprise Lead to provide operational and technical oversight of the Enterprise GIS environment. You will safeguard data integrity, lead platform governance, and partner with stakeholders to deliver sustainable GIS solutions that drive operational decisions.

You will mentor teams, optimize data pipelines, and ensure GIS architecture aligns with safety and environmental requirements while supporting enterprise-wide spatial

• Strong understanding of Enterprise GIS governance and platform performance.
• Experience administering enterprise GIS platforms and basemaps.
• Ability to resolve complex GIS platform issues and improve performance.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication with technical and business users.
• Experience with enterprise GIS platforms, spatial databases and APIs.
• Knowledge of GIS-supported environmental, operational or asset management processes.
• Experience developing governance artefacts and documentation.
• Familiarity with ESRI products and Enterprise GIS architecture.
• Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geospatial Science or related.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical oversight for the Enterprise GIS environment, including platform administration and performance.
• Lead development and maintenance of enterprise imagery and vector basemaps for decision support.
• Drive automated GIS data pipelines and workflows for accuracy and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve complex GIS platform issues and escalate where needed.
• Process service requests, changes, and integration activities through governance processes.
• Develop and maintain GIS operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Support GIS governance, security, data quality and architecture requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capability and user experience.
