Job summary
Randstad is partnering with a leading Queensland Government Agency to secure a Senior Project Officer (Spatial) - AO6 for an environmental and infrastructure initiative. The role focuses on managing GIS datasets and leading spatial analysis to support abandoned mine site remediation and water asset management across Queensland.

Qualifications
- Strong background in GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise)
- Analytical skills demonstrated by complex spatial analysis and mapping
- Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Queensland Government frameworks and spatial standards is valued
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, Spatial Science, Surveying, Environmental Science, or related field is required
Responsibilities
- Oversee, structure, and maintain GIS datasets and mapping systems for abandoned mine sites and water assets.
- Perform complex spatial analyses, remote sensing, and predictive modeling for remediation strategies and risk assessments.
- Translate complex spatial data into actionable reports, maps, and dashboards for senior leadership and project teams.
- Collaborate with environmental engineers, hydrogeologists, field officers, and external contractors to align spatial data with program objectives.
- Identify and implement improvements in spatial tools, workflows, and data governance across the program.
