konnecting.com in Newcastle, NSW is seeking a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead tailings storage facilities, dams and related mining infrastructure. The role combines technical leadership with client engagement and business development across Australia and internationally.

The successful candidate will oversee geotechnical investigations, slope stability, seepage analysis and dam safety, mentoring junior engineers and delivering projects from concept to completion in a dynamic,

Competenze

Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Expertise in tailings, dams, mine waste or complex geotechnical infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of ANCOLD, GISTM, ICOLD and CDA.
Experience with geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Rocscience, FLAC or similar.
Chartered professional status or eligibility to obtain registration.

Mansioni

Lead the design, assessment and delivery of tailings storage facilities, dams, mine waste facilities and associated infrastructure.
Provide senior technical oversight across geotechnical investigations, slope stability, seepage analysis and dam safety assessments.
Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects from concept through to completion.
Undertake technical reviews, prepare engineering reports and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients across mining, resources and water sectors.
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals, tenders and project development.
Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers.
Potentially undertake Engineer of Record responsibilities, subject to experience and qualifications.
