BHP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for Carrapateena on a FIFO roster. The role focuses on delivering geotechnical value through design, QA/QC, and data management for an evolving underground operation.

You will mentor graduates and engineers while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support expansion plans beyond 2039. Based in Australia at Carrapateena, with an 8/6 FIFO schedule.

Qualifications

• Underground geotechnical engineering experience required.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience with geotechnical software and data management.
• Degree in geotechnical/mining/civil or earth sciences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical design and support for underground operations.
• Lead and mentor graduates, engineers and technicians.
• Maintain geotechnical databases and QA/QC.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on growth projects like block cave development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
