Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited in Western Australia seeks a Senior Geological Technician to lead and mentor the Geology Technician team across underground operations. You will manage core yard processes, ensure data accuracy, and support sampling and mapping, while promoting safety and adherence to site procedures.

Ideally you bring underground gold mining experience, supervisory exposure, and familiarity with INX/LMS systems, to drive efficient data collection and training within a supportive,

Qualifications

• Underground gold mining experience is essential.
• Experience supervising a team of technicians is preferred.
• Valid C Class driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and data integrity.
• Strong safety knowledge and compliance with WHS standards.

Get out in the field, work with a supportive team, and be part of the journey from drill rig to resource. We're looking for an experienced Senior Geological Technician to come along for the ride!

Lead the Geology Technician team in the performance of underground geological activities and core yard duties required to facilitate the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction and growth of the mineral resource.

About The Role

• Lead and mentor the Geology Technician team.
• Manage daily core yard operations and processes.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures.

About You

• Previous underground gold mining experience
• C Class drivers manual license
• Previous supervisory experience would be highly regarded
• INX and LMS experience
• Experience incident reporting, investigation, effective controls, and safe work practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
