Job summary

Westgold Resources is seeking a highly experienced metallurgical professional to join our Western Australia operations. You will participate in site metallurgical projects and testwork programs, delivering timely reports on study outcomes, testwork reviews and production analysis.

You will drive changes to improve plant reliability and cost effectiveness, and coordinate external consultants for CAPEX work. Ideally, you hold a degree in Extractive Metallurgy (preferred) or Chemical Engineering

Qualifications

• Have a degree in Extractive Metallurgy (preferred) or Chemical Engineering (considered).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mineral processing/mining.
• Current WA C‑class driver’s licence.
• Ability to work in an integrated team.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office and data reporting.
• Solid understanding of gold ore processing and related equipment.
• Ability to apply metallurgical/engineering concepts in study and design work.
• Analytical problem solver and safety‑conscious.

THE ROLE

• Participate in site metallurgical projects and testwork programs;
• Deliver professional and timely reports concerning study outcomes, testwork reviews and production analysis;
• Identify and drive change to improve plant reliability and cost effectiveness.
• Organise, liaise and co-ordinate external consultants/contractors for project and CAPEX work.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and professionalism.
• Oversee site reagent usage and offer guidance on the optimisation of reagent consumption.

WHAT DO I NEED

• Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
• Degree in Extractive Metallurgy (preferred) or Chemical Engineering (considered)
• 10 years’ experience in mineral processing and mining industry.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
• Sound understanding of gold ore processing and the equipment used;
• Ability to apply sound metallurgical or engineering concepts in study and design work;
• Analytical problem solver.
