Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking a Senior Geologist - Operations at Jundee Operations to lead the geology team and oversee underground ore control across day and night shifts, collaborating with mine planning, production and resource geology teams.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in underground hard rock mining, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Leapfrog and Datamine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in resources industry, ideally underground hard rock mining.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across planning and production.
• Proficiency with Leapfrog and Datamine advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of geologists, graduates and technicians.
• Oversee underground ore control across day and night shifts.
• Provide geological input into development and stope design.
• Own stope reconciliation and end-of-month reporting.
• Act as the primary geology interface with mine planning and production.
• Collaborate within an integrated geology team across growth and operations.
