Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Principal Geologist to deliver geological consulting services across exploration, modelling, Mineral Resource estimation and technical studies in Australia. You will interpret complex geological data, provide technical advice to clients and deliver clear, defensible outcomes.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in exploration, mine geology, resource geology or geological consulting.
• Strong capability in geological interpretation, 3D modelling and Mineral Resource estimation.
• Proficiency in software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac or Datamine.
• Experience preparing technical documentation aligned with recognised reporting codes.
• Strong communication, client engagement and project delivery skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to geological interpretation, modelling and Mineral Resource estimation
• Provide geological advice for technical studies, due diligence, audits and exploration programs
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals and client deliverables
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities
• Collaborate with specialists across geology, engineering, water, tailings and closure
• Support junior geologists through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to the ongoing development of geological methods, tools and standards
