Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to lead general liability claims end-to-end, partnering with clients and internal teams in a flexible hybrid Sydney-based role. You’ll manage settlements, mentor colleagues, and ensure accurate interpretation of policy wordings to optimise indemnity outcomes.

You’ll bring at least 5 years of claims experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a customer-focused mindset to support diverse client needs and regulatory

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of claims experience in public liability and/or professional indemnity.
• ANZIIF qualifications desirable.
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of general liability claims end to end.
• Attend and run settlement conferences.
• Coach and mentor other consultants as SME across portfolio.
• Interpret policy wordings and advise on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving and settlement.
• Liaise with solicitors, loss adjusters, brokers and barristers.
• Settle claims within client service instruction and delegated authority.
• Attend client meetings and achieve monthly KPIs.
