Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Senior Project Development Engineer – Gas Powered Generation in Brisbane or Sydney on a permanent full-time basis. You will lead multidisciplinary development activities, translate customer needs into robust technical solutions, and support investment decisions through FEED and option studies.

The role requires tertiary engineering qualifications and demonstrated senior experience in gas-fired power projects, with strong stakeholder engagement and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; corporate membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering for gas-fired power projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation skills and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead development engineering for GPG opportunities from concept to delivery and operation.
• Develop cost-effective power solutions including generation tech, gas supply, electrical, grid connection and controls.
• Ensure FEED studies, design bases and specifications are complete and timely.
• Support procurement, tender evaluation and contract engineering during delivery.
