Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Project to join our Gas Operations East team in Brisbane, QLD or Fyshwick, ACT on a permanent full-time basis. You will provide technical leadership and oversee engineering design activities across project phases to meet operational requirements and engineering standards.

• Strong engineering background with experience in managing engineering design activities and project delivery.
• Proven leadership skills to mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, budgeting and scheduling experience.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering design activities to meet project scope, operational requirements and standards.
• Develop and manage design schedules, drawings, specifications and technical documentation with approvals.
• Monitor progress, budgets and timelines, identifying risks and resolving issues for successful delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, design teams, operations, contractors and service providers for effective coordination.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers while promoting safety and quality.
