Job summary

Perigon Group seeks a senior funds-management lawyer to lead the legal function for investment products in Australia. You will oversee the full lifecycle from establishment and launch to ongoing operation, amendments, restructures and terminations, with a focus on disclosures, constitutions and trust deeds.

You’ll advise senior stakeholders with autonomy, mentor a Legal Counsel, and collaborate with external counsel on complex matters within a dynamic funds platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ PAE with funds management experience.
• Significant product experience including fund establishment and disclosure.
• Confident advising senior stakeholders with strong autonomy.
• Commercial, pragmatic, balancing legal risk with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal matters across lifecycle of investment products.
• Oversee product development, establishment and launch.
• Manage disclosures, fund constitutions and trust deeds.
• Regulatory change and its impact on products.
• Instruct and manage external counsel on significant matters.
• Support governance projects.
• Mentor a Legal Counsel joining the team.
