Job summary

Perigon Group is seeking a seasoned lawyer to lead the legal function for its investment products in Australia. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will oversee the full lifecycle from product development to launch and ongoing operation, structuring fund documents and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will mentor a Legal Counsel and collaborate with senior stakeholders to balance risk with business objectives, while shaping a growing funds management practice within the group.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ PAE with significant funds management experience.
• Strong, hands-on product experience in fund establishment, disclosure and fund documentation.
• Confident advising senior stakeholders with a high degree of autonomy.
• Commercial, pragmatic approach balancing legal risk with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal matters across the full lifecycle of the group’s investment products, including product development, establishment and launch.
• Oversee ongoing operation, amendments, restructures and terminations of funds.
• Prepare and review disclosure documents, fund constitutions and trust deeds.
• Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on products and processes.
• Instruct and manage external counsel on significant matters.
• Support broader corporate, commercial and governance projects.
