Job summary

JS Careers Pty represents a leading investment management group seeking an experienced legal professional to join the Legal and Company Secretarial team in Sydney. You will advise on investment products, AFSL obligations, and regulatory engagement, while providing commercial legal support across the group.

Key responsibilities include fund structuring input, due diligence on service providers, drafting constitutions and PDSs, and negotiating with clients and providers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in funds management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of funds regulation, AFSL frameworks, and ASIC/ASX requirements.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills; ability to engage regulators.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory advice on investment products and corporate operations.
• Oversee AFSL obligations and regulatory engagements.
• Draft and review contracts with clients and third-party providers.
• Support governance, structuring, and policy development.
• Handle disputes and provide commercial legal guidance.
