Job summary

Anton Murray Consulting is partnering with a leading global financial services firm to hire a Senior Fund Accountant in Sydney. You will oversee fund accounting and unit pricing, lead month-end closes, and work with clients on restructures and transitions.

This is a permanent role reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager in a busy asset servicing environment. Ideal candidates will have Australian fund accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to improve controls

We’re currently partnering with a leading global financial services firm that is continuing to expand its Asset Services business in Australia.

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join the team in Sydney. Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role across fund accounting, unit pricing and month-end processes, while also gaining exposure to client implementations, restructures and transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fund accounting and unit pricing activities across a portfolio of clients
• Take ownership of hard close and month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
• Work closely with clients and internal project teams on fund restructures, transitions and new client implementations
• Support process improvements designed to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency
• Identify, document and implement new procedures and controls
• Manage complex fund accounting activities with significant client, financial and operational impact
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while supporting the wider team

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong previous experience within fund accounting and unit pricing
• Australian fund accounting experience is essential
• Sound technical knowledge with a broader understanding of fund operations and asset servicing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple daily deadlines in a high-volume environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive approach to process improvement and operational efficiency

Due to the permanent nature of the opportunity, applicants must already be based in Australia and hold either Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship.
