Job summary

Foundry Talent Partners is partnering with a Sydney-based venture capital firm to recruit a Senior Fund Accountant for the finance team. This hands-on role manages fund accounting operations, reporting, and compliance for investment funds.

Responsibilities include month-, quarter-, and year-end closes; preparing and reconciling IFRS financial statements; creating investor packs; calculating distributions; handling subscriptions; supporting audits; and maintaining fund reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of fund accounting or fund operations experience in private markets.
• Background in venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, or managed funds.
• Experience with investor reporting, distribution calculations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with fund administration platforms and systems.
• CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) – ideal but not essential.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and IFRS familiarity.
• Understanding of Australian tax rules.

Our client, a dynamic venture capital firm based in Sydney's CBD, is looking for an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage fund accounting operations, reporting, and compliance for their investment funds.

What You'll Do
