Job summary
Defence Health is seeking a Functional Test Lead to oversee test strategy, planning, execution and quality assurance for complex software initiatives. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to champion testing best practice and manage delivery risk through quality management.
You will lead functional testing activities, develop test strategies, oversee defect management and collaborate with analysts, developers, PMs, architects and SMEs to ensure robust requirements coverage
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in software testing
- 3+ years in test leadership or coordination
- Experience in private health insurance is advantageous
- Designing and executing test strategies, plans and cases
- Incorporating AI tools into delivery and QA processes
- Strong SDLC and testing methodologies knowledge (Agile/Waterfall/hybrid)
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira/TestRail
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Selenium/Cypress/Appium
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate functional testing across projects and releases
- Develop and maintain test strategies, plans and test cases
- Oversee test execution, defect triage and reporting
- Coordinate with BA, Devs, PMs, Architects and SMEs for coverage
- Support test automation and guide testers' day-to-day activities
