Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a key role in our Queensland-based engineering team. You will design, build, and own end-to-end capabilities across backend services and frontend interfaces, with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and scalability in a high-availability travel platform.

You’ll work across architecture, DevOps, and delivery, collaborating with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate complex travel booking

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience across backend and frontend
• Proficiency with Java (Spring Boot) and React
• Experience building scalable REST APIs and integration with external systems
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and observability tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own complex backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) with a focus on reliability and performance
• Develop and deliver frontend features in React, ensuring accessibility and maintainability
• Instrument and monitor production systems using Datadog and define SLOs/SLIs
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and uphold high API design and testing standards
