Flight Centre Travel Group Australia is seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of front-end and back-end work across multiple streams, designing, building, testing and releasing features end to end. You will contribute to reliable, scalable solutions that create value for customers in a fast-paced, agile setting.

You’ll join the Search and Discover team, supporting AU, NZ, UK, ZA and CA sites, working with business and marketing stakeholders to lift conversions and deliver

Qualifications

• 1–3 years professional software development experience.
• Experience as a Full-Stack Engineer delivering end-to-end front-end and back-end solutions.
• Proven ability to build user-friendly, responsive web apps for desktop and mobile.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript; knowledge of TypeScript, Styled Components, HTML and JS.
• Experience designing, building high-traffic, reliable software with Next.js and Node.js.
• Experience with testing from unit to UI tests using Playwright.
• Experience with monitoring/observability using tools like Splunk and New Relic.

• Design, develop and deploy web apps, microservices and APIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Next.js.
• Write high-quality, secure, testable, maintainable code.
• Own quality through testing, automation and observability for reliability and performance.
• Analyze requirements and craft solutions for customers.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold standards and compliance.
• Maintain and improve documentation across codebases and architectures.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams within an agile environment.
