Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) invites a Junior Software Engineer to join the South Bank team in Queensland. You will own front-end and back-end work across multiple streams, delivering end-to-end features with a focus on reliable, scalable solutions and high-quality code.

You will work in an agile environment, participate in code reviews, and contribute to documentation while collaborating with business and marketing stakeholders to lift customer conversions through fast, relevant digital

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years professional experience in software development
• Experience as a Full-Stack Engineer delivering end-to-end experiences
• Proven experience building user-friendly, responsive web applications
• Experience in designing, building high traffic reliable software with Next.js and Node.js
• Experience in software testing with Playwright
• Experience in application monitoring and observability using Splunk and New Relic

Responsibilities

• Craft high quality, secure, testable, maintainable code
• Own the quality of what we build through testing, test automation and observability
• Analyse business requirements and problem solve to create right solutions
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and standards
• Maintain and improve documentation across code bases and architectures
• Collaborate in cross-functional Digital Commerce teams to deliver high quality solutions
