Job summary

Senatra is seeking a hands-on Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own the web application, mobile experience, backend services and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will write production code, ship end-to-end features, review pull requests and contribute to reliability in a high-trust environment serving older Australians and their families. This is a full-time, on-site role in Hampton, Melbourne.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial full-stack software-development experience.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Experience building and shipping production applications using Node.js and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with React Native and Expo, including at least one shipped iOS or Android application.
• Experience delivering consumer or B2B software used by real customers.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI capabilities into production workflows.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Aider or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud-hosted production systems, CI/CD, monitoring and debugging.
• Ability to work independently, own technical outcomes and collaborate through substantive code review.
• Availability to work full-time and on-site in Hampton, Melbourne.

• Work with product and leadership to turn customer needs into well-scoped, high-quality releases.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership across our web application, mobile experience, backend services and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will write production code, ship end-to-end features, review pull requests, make pragmatic engineering decisions and contribute to the reliability of a product used by customers every day.

This is a full-time, permanent and fully on-site role in Hampton, Melbourne.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build and maintain web applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

HIGHLY REGARDED

• Experience with voice AI, voice agents, telephony, WebRTC, real-time audio, speech-to-text, text-to-speech or conversational interfaces
• Experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Express or similar
• Strong PostgreSQL schema-design experience, including row-level security or comparable fine-grained access controls
• Experience designing reliable APIs, integrations and data-processing workflows
• Experience in health technology, fintech, privacy-sensitive consumer products or another regulated environment
• Familiarity with Australian Privacy Act principles, security-by-design or Australian data-residency requirements
• Experience with Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, monorepos or Turborepo
• A GitHub repository, portfolio, technical writing or other public work that demonstrates how you build

WHAT YOU’LL GET

• $135,000–$155,000 base salary and superannuation, commensurate with experience
