Job summary

Preact is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a newly formed product engineering team in Melbourne, operating in a hybrid setup. You will own features end to end using .NET/C#, React and TypeScript and drive architectural decisions across a major product area.

In this AI-first environment, you will mentor peers and help raise engineering standards while integrating AI capabilities and agents into daily development workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience across .NET/C# and modern React/TypeScript development, with the ability to own architecture and technical decisions from design through to production.
• You'll also enjoy mentoring other engineers and raising engineering standards across the team.
• AI experience is a major focus; using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end across .NET/C#, React and TypeScript and take architectural ownership of a significant area of the product.
• Work on greenfield development, platform evolution and new AI capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer.

Senior Full Stack Engineer | $170k – $190k + Super | Melbourne - Hybrid | .NET, React, AI

What does an engineering role look like when AI isn't just another tool, but fundamentally changes how the team builds software?

We're partnering with a really exciting growing technology business on the hire of a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a newly formed product engineering team. You'll be building new modules and workflow features across their platform, while working in a genuinely AI-first environment where engineers use and build AI agents as part of their everyday development process.

You’ll own features end to end across .NET/C#, React and TypeScript, while taking architectural ownership of a significant area of the product. Expect a mix of greenfield development, platform evolution and new AI capabilities, working closely with the Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer.

What they're looking for:

Strong commercial experience across .NET/C# and modern React/TypeScript development, with the ability to own architecture and technical decisions from design through to production. You'll also enjoy mentoring other engineers and raising engineering standards across the team.

AI experience is a major focus. You don't need to be an AI Engineer, but you should already be using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar and be excited by the idea of directing multiple AI agents, verifying their output and finding better ways to build software with AI.
