Job summary

Empire Group is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to deliver modern cloud-native applications within an AWS environment. You will design, develop, test and support applications across frontend, backend, integration and AWS infrastructure layers.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with React, TypeScript, Python and AWS serverless architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge and DynamoDB. Collaboration with architects and delivery teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS cloud development experience
• Strong React and TypeScript experience
• Strong Python backend development experience
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless and event-driven architectures
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS and related AWS services
• Experience using AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT authentication
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions
• Strong testing, debugging and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with architects and delivery teams

Responsibilities

• Develop modern web applications using React and TypeScript
• Build backend services and microservices using Python
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs using OpenAPI standards
• Develop synchronous and event-driven integrations
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB and Aurora PostgreSQL
• Implement secure authentication using OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security and quality controls
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability
• Participate in solution design, architecture discussions and code reviews
• Produce technical documentation and knowledge transfer across the team
