Job summary

Football Australia is seeking a Junior DevOps & Platform Engineer to help maintain reliable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery. You’ll work with React/TypeScript frontends and serverless AWS backends, under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates welcome.
• Qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on exposure through study, internships or personal projects.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript, Python, JavaScript or Golang with React.
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Understanding of automated testing, QA, and secure software development.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals including access management and API security.
• Ability to troubleshoot, monitor systems and support digital products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Python and AWS Lambda across Football Australia’s digital platforms.
• Assist with system integrations, APIs, data feeds and migrations.
• Support data products, reporting, and data quality improvements.
• Maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Apply cybersecurity, testing and compliance standards for secure solutions.
• Provide technical support for PlayFootball and Lets PlayFootball systems.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Support IT team with access management and internal tech requests.
