Mott MacDonald in the UK is seeking a skilled Flood Risk Engineer to join our Water Consultancy Division. You will lead hydraulic modelling work and deliver Flood Risk Assessments for major developments, guiding junior staff and collaborating with clients to develop robust solutions.

Competenze

• Experience delivering flood risk management studies.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software.
• Experience using flood modelling software e.g. Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HECRAS or ICM.
• Degree-level qualification in hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering, or related discipline.
• Good communication and written skills.
• Well organised and able to prioritise your own workload with minimal supervision.
• Understand the importance of prioritising health, safety and environmental issues.

Mansioni

• Lead the development of hydraulic models (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HECRAS, ICM) to support Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Conceptualise and scope hydraulic modelling approaches.
• Produce and check high-quality client reports.
• Undertake hydrological assessments using FHE, ReFH2 and WINFAP.
• Mentor and train junior staff in hydraulic modelling processes from scoping to delivery.
