Job summary

Virgin Australia in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Flight Analyst to own a market portfolio and maximise revenue through flight-level availability decisions. You will collaborate with Demand Analysts and Revenue Leaders, using Sabre tools to optimise inventory and respond to market changes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical track record, ideally in revenue management
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify optimisation opportunities
• Experience with ad-hoc analysis to support decisions
• Ability to influence decisions through data-led recommendations
• Good Excel skills and familiarity with RM systems
• Understanding of competitor response mechanisms and impact on revenue

Responsibilities

• Own and actively manage a market portfolio, making flight-level availability decisions to maximise revenue
• Use Revenue Management systems and tools in line with best practice, including Sabre RO alerts and Dynamic Availability
• Monitor competitor pricing and market activity, implementing tactical responses
• Manage flight-level overbooking parameters to capture revenue upside while balancing outcomes
• Conduct regular post-departure and performance analysis to identify improvement opportunities
• Partner with Demand Analysts to support event set-ups and optimise availability outside standard system range
• Provide clear insights on trading strategies and performance to support budgeting and forecasting
• Identify and drive continuous improvement across processes, decision-making and RM system usage
