Job summary

City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Fleet Unit, driving sustainable, safe and efficient fleet services across three depots. You will guide strategic and operational planning, asset management and budgeting to align with council priorities and WHS obligations.

You will manage a diverse team, deliver major capital programs, and promote continuous improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and service excellence for the community.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or 10 years' fleet management experience.
• IPWEA Fleet Management Certificate completed.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary fleet teams across lifecycle.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with change management and digital/service transformation.
• Experience using fleet management systems for short/medium/long-term planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of a 10-year fleet capital works program.
• Oversee fleet operations across depots, ensuring HVNL/CoR compliance.
• Ensure servicing, maintenance and programmed works are delivered on time and on budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align fleet services with strategy and service levels.
• Drive innovation, agility and continuous improvement in operations.
