Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking a Senior Fleet Controller to own daily fleet movements at a busy depot, acting as the central communication hub between drivers and operations. The role requires high accuracy under pressure and a structured approach to maintain service excellence.

You will manage schedules, routes, and driver updates, monitor progress, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet operations and driver coordination.

• Clear and professional interaction with drivers and stakeholders.
• Data tracking and operational reporting proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Fleet Coordination – Manage all vehicle movements throughout the day, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
• Driver Communication – Primary contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and updates on daily schedules.
• Scheduling & Route Management – Plan and adjust routes to optimize efficiency and meet customer deadlines.
• Operational Oversight – Monitor progress, resolve issues quickly, and maintain service continuity under high workloads.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure adherence to transport regulations and company standards.
• Reporting & Accuracy – Track hours, costs, and performance metrics using Excel and internal systems.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
