Job summary

UGL – Projects-Major Projects in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Fire Services (Wet & Dry) to lead all fire protection works on a hyperscale data centre project. You will manage specialist subcontractors, coordinate interfaces with MEP disciplines and drive testing, commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering fire services packages on major construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage specialist subcontractors and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Delivery experience in data centres, hospitals, defence facilities, airports, laboratories or large-scale commercial developments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of wet and dry fire systems, ensuring safe, compliant installation and achievement of project milestones.
• Manage fire subcontractors, resources, procurement and productivity to maintain programme, cost and quality outcomes.
• Coordinate fire protection interfaces across mechanical, electrical, BMS, security, civil and architectural disciplines.
• Review and control technical submissions, design changes, RFIs and variations to ensure compliance with the approved fire strategy.
• Plan and execute testing, commissioning and integrated systems verification, driving defect resolution and certification.
• Deliver complete project handover documentation, training, approvals and operational acceptance for seamless occupancy.
