Job summary

SDR Fire Solutions is seeking an experienced fire services estimator to own the tender process from initial drawing review through submission and handover to project managers. The role covers wet and dry fire systems, requiring independent management of tenders and strong commercial insight.

You will read technical drawings, interpret installation requirements and develop realistic labour and material allowances, with support available to broaden knowledge beyond current specialization.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire services estimating and independently managing tenders from start to finish.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand installation requirements.
• Ability to build realistic labour and material allowances.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand scope and risks.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and build estimates for labour, materials, equipment and subcontracted work.
• Obtain and compare supplier pricing, check inclusions/exclusions.
• Prepare tender clarifications, assumptions and exclusions and submit quotations.
• Manage tender deadlines, addenda and revisions and respond to pricing queries.
• Collaborate with leadership on pricing decisions and hand over successful tenders to project managers.
