Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire engineering experience within a consulting environment.
• Strong experience developing performance-based fire engineering solutions.
• Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code and performance-based design principles.
• Experience preparing fire engineering reports and supporting approval processes.
• Strong communication skills with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborative approach and contribution to a national team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes across multiple projects.
• Chartered status, relevant registration, or active progress towards Chartership is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop performance-based fire engineering solutions and alternative compliance pathways under the NCC.
• Undertake fire engineering assessments, modelling and technical analysis to support project delivery.
• Prepare fire engineering reports, strategies and regulatory approval submissions.
• Work with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate fire engineering outcomes into design solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, approval authorities and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to capability development.
• Contribute to project planning, delivery, quality assurance and client satisfaction.
• Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to grow client relationships.
