Job summary

Aurecon in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering projects from concept through to completion, working within our national Fire Engineering team to deliver innovative, performance-based solutions. You will develop NCC-compliant designs, undertake modelling and analysis, prepare reports and engage with multidisciplinary teams and clients to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

This senior role also offers mentorship to junior engineers and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

5+ years of fire engineering experience in consulting.
Experience developing performance-based fire engineering solutions.
Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and performance-based design principles.
Experience preparing fire engineering reports and approval submissions.
Strong communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Chartered status or progress toward Chartership is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Develop performance-based fire engineering solutions and NCC compliance pathways.
Undertake fire modelling and technical analysis to support delivery.
Prepare fire engineering reports and regulatory submissions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire outcomes.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development.
Support business development and client relationship growth.
