Job summary

Lutheran Care SA is seeking a Senior Practitioner Financial Wellbeing to lead high‑level financial counselling and supervise the Financial Wellbeing team across South Australia, with virtual support to remote regions in the Northern Territory and interstate travel as required.

The role combines hands‑on client work with professional supervision, mentoring and practice support to staff, students and interns, enhancing practice and client outcomes in a not‑for‑profit setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in financial counselling with supervisory credentials.
• Experience supervising staff, students and interns in a financial wellbeing setting.
• Accredited SAFCA membership or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional supervision, mentoring and practice support to Financial Wellbeing staff, students and interns.
• Deliver high‑level financial counselling to clients with complex needs, including debt, rights and income information.
• Support clients to understand options and make informed financial decisions.
• Deliver confidential financial literacy education to individuals and groups.
• Identify professional development needs and recommend training to management.
• Support high‑quality service delivery that aligns with standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate across Lutheran Care services to achieve positive client outcomes.
